ART AND CULTURE

Livorno is the city of famous artists like Amedeo Modigliani and Giovanni Fattori and also the home of the Macchiaioli school of painters who found great inspiration in the atmosphere, colours and culture of this area.

In the Giovanni Fattori Museum in Livorno are displayed paintings of 19 th and early 20 th century Tuscan painters and often exhibitions on the local painting tradition and its international connections are organized.
